Galway Ranks in 87th Percentile in Growth After 5.5 Years!

Galway growth chartGalway Central School District ranks in the 87th percentile of growth in proficiency after five-and-a-half years according to a recent article in the New York Times.

When compared with other nearby school districts in the state, Galway places fourth, over the course of less time and with fewer dollars than most of the districts. 

The data reflects an index of socioeconomic status. It includes median family income; the percent of adults with a bachelor’s degree or higher; the poverty rate; the unemployment rate; the SNAP eligibility rate; and the percent of families headed by a single parent in a district. The data for each district includes charter schools located in its area.
