Two New Master Teachers!

Two New Master Teachers!

Congratulations to Mrs. Jeanine Flinton and Mrs. Edie Houle for being named NYS Master Teachers. They join fellow Galway teachers Mr. Kristin Darlington and Mr. Paul Levin in the Master Teachers program, which is a network of over 800 teachers throughout the state who share a passion for science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and for collaborating with colleagues to inspire the next generation of STEM leaders.

In total, the Capital Region welcomed 31 new Master Teachers. Only seven of the 31 are elementary teachers, and we are incredibly proud that two of these teachers are from Galway Central School District!

Mrs. Flinton
Mrs. Flinton teaches Project Lead the Way STEM curriculum to Grades K-6. She also serves as a Project Lead the Way Master Teacher, providing training for PLTW teachers throughout the United States.

Mrs. Houle
Mrs. Houle currently teaches fourth grade and is a member of the highly selective NASA Airborne Astronomers program. She does outreach around the area to educate students and adults about infrared astronomy.
